Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Associate's duties include:
Monitor, screen and control access to the facility:
maintains a log of persons entering and exiting the facility, operates door lock system from security desk, monitors video surveillance.
Assists in enforcing rules and regulations by monitoring people and activities.
Maintains ongoing verbal and written communication with preceding and following shifts and documents all incidents and unusual occurrences.
Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications Valid NYS Security License or the ability to secure certification during employment preferred (not required).
CPR and First Aid Certification or the ability to secure certification during employment preferred (not required).
Completion of the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccination is required, subject to reasonable accommodation pursuant to applicable law Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent judgment and ability to work independently.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
